Meet Tsegab Ayele Tulu, the owner and manager of Heleph Coffee. Born and raised in Hawassa, the capital of the Sidama Region, Tsegab's journey into coffee began in 2011, influenced by his family's rich agricultural and trading background.

The story traces back to 1976 when Tsegab's grandfather, Tulu, cultivated a coffee plantation in Harbegona, which has since evolved into Bona Zuria Village in the Sidama Region Province. In 1986, Tsegab's father, Ayele, inherited portions of the family's coffee farms and established processing washing stations.

In 2016, the Ethiopian government's relaxation of export regulations marked a turning point. It allowed coffee producers like Tsegab to engage directly with foreign importers, prompting him to establish Heleph Coffee in 2018. Under his management, Finest Beans has forged a sustainable partnership with Heleph Coffee.

Tsegab is renowned for producing exceptional red honey-processed coffee, characterized by a carefully controlled fermentation process and meticulous drying on shaded beds. This method extends the drying time, ensuring uniform moisture distribution and precise water activity, ultimately yielding outstanding coffee.

Tsegab's journey epitomizes vision, transformation, and a commitment to excellence in coffee production—a legacy that thrives through his ownership of Heleph Coffee and the sustainable partnership he has fostered with Finest Beans.
